What is hypnosis? Hypnosis is a focused awareness that allows for accessing the unconscious mind for creativity, solutions to problems, enforcing patterns and personal change.
When we believe something, or don’t believe in something, we are delivering a message to the brain about what is occurring. The brain and mind-body then create the internal and external responses that correspond to what we are willing to believe. As a result, if a person has the belief that they can be hypnotized and the expectation that they will be hypnotized, then they will be hypnotized.
Effective hypnotherapy contains two components: belief that hypnosis works and expectation that a personal change will occur because of hypnotherapy.
• Relaxing, posture and facial changes, even a listless look or a simple smile.
• Relaxed and shallow breathing. Watch the chest area, abdomen, nostrils.
• Body temperature and pulse changes. Their body may lower in temperature, and sometimes it will
get warmer. The pulse will often slow down as the body relaxes.
• When the person is processing internally it will often be indicated by rapid eye movement or
fluttering of the eyelids visible even with eyes closed.
• Eye lackmentation. This is a natural phenomenon as the eyes are often red when the person returns
to the normal state of consciousness.
Self hypnosis is a form of self-directing and creating fixation upon an experience. Self hypnosis can be broken down into four required components:
1. Motivation – having a specific need or purpose for using self-hypnosis techniques
2. Relaxation – developing the capacity to relax oneself is necessary for effective self-hypnosis
3. Concentration – paradoxically using fixation in order to relax oneself is a common theme in self-hypnosis
4. Directing – once in an altered state of consciousness, the individual must guide the process of self-hypnosis toward the desired outcome
Self hypnosis is a very effective means of pain management, anxiety relief, depression avoidance, resolving sleep disorders, managing weight loss, harnessing motivation, creating personal success, controlling emotions, improving concentration and problem solving. Another paradox is to consider that all hypnosis is self-hypnosis in that the individual is the one who allows his or herself to enter a state of fixation or [TDS] trans-derivational search (the process of seeking internal information during self hypnosis). You will find this to be a common theme in my self hypnosis downloads.
Direct hypnosis utilizes direct suggestions to the conscious mind to create hypnotic trance.“You will go into a deep state of relaxation when I snap my fingers.” This is a very common form of hypnosis used by stage hypnotists and is associated with the pin wheel or swinging clock inductions used in hypnotism. Indirect hypnosis, on the other hand, artfully utilizes generalizations and truisms to double bind and guide a person toward a specific outcome. Whether you read this last sentence over again – or not – you’re going to have a better grasp of the difference between direct hypnosis and indirect hypnosis…

Conversational hypnosis utilizes indirect suggests to go directly to the unconscious mind and as you are reading this right now, you may – or may not- consider the possibility of a certain little thought about how effortlessly one might learn anything they are interested in learning – after all, it only takes curiosity, doesn’t it?
Conversational hypnosis is indirect hypnosis except for it is typically used outside of the conscious awareness of the individual who is being influenced. The following are examples of common forms of conversational hypnosis that can be used in pretty much any setting without alerting the other individual(s) that their thinking is being directed in a specific direction. Typically, these conversational hypnosis commands are very general and ambiguous in the sense that they tend to rarely trigger deeper analysis of their potential significance in influencing behavior. For this reason, they are often used by politicians, news reporters, advertisers, and religious leaders to indirectly influence thoughts, opinions, and actions. Conversational hypnosis works best when said in an detached manner, often like talking to oneself out loud as some tend to do, you know… Often conversational hypnosis uses the grammatical structure of a question but with the tonality of a command to be the most effective.
So the next time you want your child to go to bed you could say something like: “Sooner or later, everyone has to relax and sleep. You may or may not do it instantly… or you can always take your time… Relaxing… Sleeping.”
Selling your car: “People can… you know, decide to buy a car very quickly and easily… so take your time and think it over now, and… when you’ve decided yes, we’ll make it happen, okay.”
Buying hypnosis apps and hypnosis downloads: “I could tell you that buying my hypnosis apps or my hypnosis downloads will completely transform your life, but I’d much rather have you discover this for yourself…”

Personally, I believe that using my hypnosis downloads is going to be very effective for most people because not only do they utilize conversational hypnosis but I also blend various NLP techniques into each of the programs to make them even more transformational. The majority of my clients who want coaching that uses conversational hypnosis first experienced the self hypnosis approaches used in my hypnosis apps and found this to be very empowering.
The next step for them was to have an experience that was more personalized than what could be found in the hypnosis downloads. So, as I said, my hypnosis downloads or my hypnosis apps are a great way to test the water without risking a lot of time or money, even though the hypnosis downloads are extremely inexpensive for what they do.
